International Award
Residential Project
A large part of the Gold award is the Residential Project, which requires candidates to undertake a shared purposeful activity with people who are not their usual friends in an unfamiliar residential setting.
The activity should take place over a period of 4 nights and 5 days. In keeping with the independent nature of the award, candidates are expected to investigate and organize their own personal options for this section with guidance from their mentor.
Ideas for projects include personal training courses, environment and conservation projects and service projects to people and the community.

They will have a supervisor who will complete a comprehensive written report on their progress and effort. Students will also have to complete a self-reflection on their Residential Project.
